The Amphitheatre, with the Alpine massifs of the Aosta Valley rising up behind it, is one of the most important sites of glacial origin in the world. AMI covers an area of approximately 530 km2 and was generated during the Quaternary Era by the erosion and accumulation of the Balteo Glacier. The AMI, which has its capital in the town of Ivrea (located in its centre), offers numerous opportunities for visitors: museums, eco-museums, castles, archaeological sites, religious sights, parks and a number of places to practise sports and outdoor activities, a full programme of events. Moreover, the ‘Paniere’, the Turin Province’s umbrella organisation, offers a showcase of typical local products and producers.
The work of Laser
Laser was responsible for the design and implementation of the website (http://www.amphitheatromorenicoivrea.it) and the mobile application (iOS and Android versions). By exploiting the possibilities and potential of the Krake platform, all content can be added, deleted, modified directly by the customer, in a simple and guided way, through a back office web application. In addition, by exploiting the distributed editorial, several different subjects can collaborate in the preparation of the content. In particular, in the project Visitami even 37 different municipalities collaborate, with different permission logics, for an ambitious and complete collective project from all points of view.
